BackCountry Safety Training delivers professional snowmobile safety training courses across British Columbia. Our programs are designed by experienced snowmobilers, for snowmobilers, and follows the British Columbia Snowmobile Federation and Canada Safety Council course guidelines.
We expand beyond the standard curriculum by incorporating real-world operational skills, including:
- Efficient recovery techniques (how to get unstuck quickly)
- Common trail-side repairs
- Towing heavy loads safely
- Powder riding techniques
- Introductory avalanche awareness (AST-1 course is advised, for travel in avalanche terrain)
