Safe Snowmobile Operator Training, Cranbrook BC Feb. 8, 2024
Overview The Enhanced Industrial Safe Snowmobile Operator Course will provide hands on training, concentrating on safety awareness and risk reduction. This course is based on the British Columbia Snowmobile Federation, Industrial Safe Snowmobile Operator Training program.
Objectives:
- Safe operation of a snowmobile
- turns, hills, emergency stops, reverse, night riding, crossing roads and obstacles, safe two person snowmobile operation
- Trail riding signals
- PPE and avalanche gear
- Terrain assessment
- Trail repairs, safe towing
- Basic snowmobile mechanical operation and maintenance
- Safe loading/unloading practices
- BC regulations
